Bob and Doug McKenzie in “Close Enough For Love’ Michelle Benjamin with Doug McKenzie

In the video “Close Enough For Love’ Michelle Benjamin with Doug McKenzie, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as an idea to both fulfill and make fun of stupid Canadian content rules, the characters became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The brothers went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
