Bob and Doug McKenzie in Conversation Project ‘Legacy’ by Dave Thomas

In the video Conversation Project ‘Legacy’ by Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was included on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a skit to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content rules, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
