Bob and Doug McKenzie in Corner DJ Presents: A Less Than Traditional Holiday Special (Ep. 1)

In the video Corner DJ Presents: A Less Than Traditional Holiday Special (Ep. 1), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s part is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and mock annoying Canadian content demands, the two transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
