Bob and Doug McKenzie in Cutty Sark – Twelve Days of Christmas

In the video Cutty Sark – Twelve Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a sketch to both fulfill and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content legislation, the two grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The characters became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
