Growing up in the age of Star Trek’s cancellation and syndication, and disco domination. Many Rebels of the times often wore T shirts depicting the song title showing their disdain for it’s musical stylings(and even in some films), but during the rise of ’70s punk, one rogue band from The Great White North(not Rush with the aid of SCTV’s The McKenzie Brothers)would lay down the law of rock with it’s fiery first track that gave people a rally cry. Being a fan of the band(and the man himself, Joey ‘Shithead’ Keithley)since their inception while I was in high school, and basically my real first interview during one of the most infamous shows on their second visit to Boston, D.O.A. has always remained true.
