In the video Dairy Milk [Dave Thomas] (1980), Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as filler to both follow guidelines and laugh at silly Canadian content rules, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

I remember that commercial. Good one.
Has anyone seen those bars the past 10 years? They are no longer 'thick'. They, like many other products of yesteryear, have shrunk in size (and increased in price, unless you catch them at a Dollar store).
There was another one of these featuring Daryl Wells, the long time announcer at Toronto's Woodbine racetrack, biting into one right at the end of a close race…and everyone was waiting to hear who the winner was.
