Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Moody’s 12 Days of Nascar Christmas 2016

In the video Dave Moody’s 12 Days of Nascar Christmas 2016, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s part is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as a sketch to both please and laugh at legal Canadian content rules, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
