Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave The Fruit Guy’s Twelve days of Christmas!

In the video Dave The Fruit Guy’s Twelve days of Christmas!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to CBC Television in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a joke to both fulfill and make fun of legal Canadian content guidelines, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
