In the video Dave Thomas and Colonel Sanders, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as an idea to both please and laugh at annoying Canadian content guidelines, the characters transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Dave owed a lot of his success to The Colonel, Dave did however help design some items and stores and helped get the idea going of putting the Colonels face on a car and Buckets, but the Colonel owes a lot of his success to Pete Harmon for saying Yes to franchising after 1,009 people told him no, After Pete helped get the Business booming, Uncle Harley started franchising other restaurants with his chicken, eventually it spread like wild fire, unfortunately none of the greats are around anymore and the companies do what they want with the customer service quality and recipes, and marketing, Lee, Pete, Dave and the Colonel are all gone now #colonelsanders #leesfamousrecipechicken #tiktok
