Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas’ Animation Career
In the video Dave Thomas’ Animation Career, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about legal Canadian content legislation, the characters became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The characters enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Butch Hartman (creator of Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom on Nickelodeon) is joined by longtime friend and fellow animator, Dave Thomas for this episode of ‘Speech Bubble’
In this clip, Dave tells us about his career in animation.

It`s Lucky in Love
"Miracle City! A spicy cesspool of crime and villainy. This is the story of Manny Rivera better known as El Tigre!"
Why did El Tigre end?
I loved El Tigre!
Kung Fu Panda, the Series, plays on Nicktoons right now.
$5,000?!
Saw it the other day.
Wasn't that the one where Kitty pretends to be Paulina?
It's a shame I never got into El Tigre, I liked it but I was smack dab in the middle of my EVERYTHING SUCKS phase. Not to mention Dutch writing and voice acting became really REALLY bad around that time too.
I love and miss El Tigre I watched that as a kid almost as often as I watched Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, and so many more. I can say I've seen all of Butch's shows on Nick.
"Arguing is what I do Manny, it's like MY super power!"
Wow this comment section is a ghost town
Let's be honest…
Who wanted to smash Frida?!
Don't underestamite the power of Frida Throwing a potato!!!!!!
Butch, could you possibly turn up voice settings or maybe speak into the mic a bit closer? I have my volume all the way up and can barely hear you when listening to anything coming from Speech Bubble videos.
I despise flash but love el tigre.
why was there a triangle girl when Poof is the only Fairy baby
