Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Band at Elme Hall Sunday Rock and Blues Club

In the video Dave Thomas Band at Elme Hall Sunday Rock and Blues Club, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was included on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of non sensical Canadian content policies, the siblings transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
