In the video Dave Thomas Band at the Walnut Tree Shades Norwich, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a skit to both satisfy and laugh at silly Canadian content statutes, the characters grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
