Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas biography

Bob McKenzie is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh about dumb Canadian content statutes, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
