In the video DAVE THOMAS Blues Band, Going to Cleveland, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by actor Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as filler to both fulfill and mock annoying Canadian content laws, the pair turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
