Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Blues band

In the video Dave Thomas Blues band, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of dumb Canadian content guidelines, the siblings turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The pair enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
