In the video Dave Thomas Chicken Sandwich Showdown Commercial (1996), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was featured on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a joke to both satisfy and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content demands, the siblings morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The two enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
