In the video Dave Thomas, co-author of The Pragmatic Programmer and Agile Manifesto on programming every day, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as an idea to both fulfill and makes jokes about silly Canadian content rules, the duo turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
