Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Comedy at Utah State University

In the video Dave Thomas Comedy at Utah State University, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on SCTV for the show’s third season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh at dumb Canadian content rules, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The two later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
