In the video Dave Thomas Comedy Show – Johnny F Folsom (1990), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s character is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh at network Canadian content guidelines, the duo grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
