Bob’s character is created by Rick Moranis and Doug is created by Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as filler to both please and laugh about network Canadian content statutes, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

It's kind of odd that Dave would play Max Von Sydow in a sketch and never once mention that he worked with him in the movie ''Strange Brew''. From what Dave has said in some interviews, Max didn't get along with Rick Moranis during the production of that movie, and referred to him as a little b@st@rd at times. I can't help but wonder if the sketch was a little dig at Sydow. At any rate, I loved this show in it's all too brief run, and thank you for putting these up so other people can enjoy them.
