In the video Dave Thomas – Dreams Of Effortless Flight, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a skit to both please and mock silly Canadian content rules, the duo transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
