Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas

The character Bob McKenzie is created by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh about annoying Canadian content demands, the characters transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
