In the video Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by CBC Television in . Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content policies, the two became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
