Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Is A Kidnapper?!

In the video Dave Thomas Is A Kidnapper?!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it aired by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although created originally as a joke to both please and laugh about stupid Canadian content legislation, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
