In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Blame The Weather, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. It was born originally as a skit to both satisfy and mock annoying Canadian content legislation, the brothers turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
