Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Junior – Embers

In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Embers, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is played by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as filler to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content rules, the duo became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The characters soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
