In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Fast, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a joke to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content demands, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

On his song, “Fast,” he tackles the concept of a relationship quickly fading so unexpectedly. One of my best relax able singer
"I never thought I'd lose you so fast…" You know what… I lost a baby a couple of days ago. At home. Alone. I had to. The heartbeat had stopped nobody knows when. I found this out in a follow-up visit to the ginec. S/he was 8 weeks old. Second loss in a row. I was told I had to take medicines to force it to come out 'cause there was no life and the developement had stopped days ago (probably a week or two ago). Loosing a first child was killing. Loosing this second one is being more than devastating. They say "Nobody is the one at this. There are lots of women suffering the same situation everyday". Well, here I am surviving again. At least this piece is giving me the opportunity to cry and let everything come out. It won't fix the trauma, but it's helping. Thank you Dave.
