In the video Dave Thomas Junior -Hymn For The Departed Lyrics, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh at stupid Canadian content rules, the brothers became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
