Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Junior – Hymn For The Departed

In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Hymn For The Departed, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by comic Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about network Canadian content policies, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The pair became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
