In the video Dave Thomas Junior Making Now All Is Said And Done, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about dumb Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The brothers later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
