In the video Dave Thomas Junior // One Song Per Week #46 – When Does It Get Easier, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a program which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s character is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of stupid Canadian content legislation, the brothers morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
