In the video DAVE THOMAS JUNIOR PLAYLIST // PART 1 // HEALING SONGS , Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a joke to both please and make fun of dumb Canadian content statutes, the two transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The pair went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
