Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Junior – Realtime

In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Realtime, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as an idea to both please and make fun of network Canadian content legislation, the siblings turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The characters became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
