Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Junior – Silence (Matīss Remix)

In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Silence (Matīss Remix), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content statutes, the two turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The pair later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
