In the video DAVE THOMAS JUNIOR – SILENCE (MYKOOL BOOTLEG), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a skit to both satisfy and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content legislation, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The pair became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
