In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Silence, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and laugh about silly Canadian content statutes, the two grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The two later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

I don't quite understand it. I have no stories like most people here: no losses, set backs, rock-bottoms, or traumas. To me it's all been something my crazy mind has come up with itself when trying to make sense of this crazy world.
Still, I recognized myself in so- so many moments in Afterlife… Especially the scenes in this song. I watched this and felt my mind slip, seeing him think on the edge. It sent me a little over the edge, but in a way that allowed me to see myself better.
I cannot begin to truly describe the things this show has done to- and for me, but it is the most raw and real expression of some of the feelings I
