Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Junior – Stepping Stones

In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Stepping Stones, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about annoying Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
