Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas Junior – Still In Love (Live)

In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Still In Love (Live), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh about annoying Canadian content legislation, the siblings morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
