In the video Dave Thomas Junior -There You Were Lyrics, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s part is played by Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content guidelines, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
