In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Three Wishes (Oh Rudee’s cover), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a program which was shown on second city television for the show’s third season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh about non sensical Canadian content statutes, the pair morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The pair became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
