In the video Dave Thomas Junior – When Does It Get Easier, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a joke to both please and laugh at network Canadian content rules, the brothers became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The characters went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
