In the video Dave Thomas – La Chute (Yann Tiersen cover), Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by comic Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as an idea to both please and laugh at silly Canadian content laws, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The two became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
