In the video Dave Thomas – La Corde (Yann Tiersen cover), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was featured on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sent to CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and makes jokes about legal Canadian content legislation, the characters grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The pair went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
