In the video Dave Thomas – La Noyee (live in Recife) (Yann Tiersen cover), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as a skit to both fulfill and laugh about silly Canadian content demands, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Dave … as beautiful as always. What is the Dave Thomas magic? OK, one part is the choice of music. Especially Yann Tiersen and the Amélie soundtrack. It fuses with Dave's own unique musicality. Then there's that accordion, his hands flying across it, up and down. And finally Dave's physical presence – a slim, sensual, wiry young man, the mop of hair, the hidden face – swaying, twisting, turning, at one with the music, with the instrument. Not only great to listen to, but compelling to watch.
