In the video Dave Thomas live – “Le Banquet” (Yann Tiersen), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in . The character Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a sketch to both fulfill and make fun of legal Canadian content policies, the brothers became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
