In the video Dave Thomas MUST be cast as Kavanaugh on SNL, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s part is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a skit to both please and make fun of legal Canadian content laws, the duo became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The brothers became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
