In the video Dave Thomas O’Gorman – Slow Disco (St. Vincent Cover), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was featured on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a joke to both satisfy and mock non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the characters morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The brothers became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
