Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas only eats hamburgers (1990)

In the video Dave Thomas only eats hamburgers (1990), Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as an idea to both please and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content demands, the pair morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
