In the video Dave Thomas Q&A – November 8, 2018, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a sketch to both satisfy and laugh at stupid Canadian content policies, the characters transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
