In the video DAVE THOMAS RACING’S ILLUMINATI, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of network Canadian content laws, the brothers became a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
